Warning: Some of the pictures in this post are so adorable they might be hazardous to your health. I’m just saying.
I absolutely love babysitting. Want to know most of the reason why? Because I love kids. For a short period of time. And then you can give them back. And it is AWESOME. So, this is my buddy, Tegue.
(Note: the quality of these pictures is TERRIBLE because I was using Photo Booth. However, it’s the spirit of the pictures that is important.)
He is 2 and 1/2 and the slightly heavenly lighting in that picture is perfect because that kid is an angel. I don’t think, in the time that I have known him, that I have seen him cry. I’m sure he does cry and has frequently in the past, but he is never anything but superb for me. This is probably due to the fact that his mom is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. I love to do anything I possibly can to help her out.
So Tegue. He is at that great stage where he talks all the time, but really only understands about 5% of what comes out of his (and your) mouth. The other day we went to the playground, because Tegue looooooooves the playground. He also loves the grass. And the flowers. And the Longhorn symbol. And gravel. And slides. And other kids and trucks and bath toys and his new car bed and my nose and his nose and books. And street lamps – which was the most amusing. That kid will stop an stare at a street lamp (“Light! Light!”) for so long. It’s GREAT. He loves everything there is to love. And you know what I say? I say that we all do the same.
Here we are waving at the still camera:
Making silly faces…
And my personal favorite…
The moral of the story – love things. And hang out with kids every once in awhile.
